Clay Beehive is a ceramic studio located in beautiful North East Victoria - very close to our Beechworth store.   Maker Mel Eliades lives & works on small acreage, with a large garden full of herbs and flowers, close to a river, looking out onto magnificent hundred-year-old river red gums.

Mel is an avid photographer and bee lover.  She loves being in nature, her biggest source of inspiration.  Her functional ceramic pieces reflect the landscape, the rivers, the trees, the sky, the textures and the colours of the beauty around her.

Clay Beehive cheese platters are hand-formed with a variety of clay bodies, including dark stoneware, a speckled raku, a lightly speckled tan body and a sandy textured white raku body.

These little cheeseboards are designed to hold cheese or a little snack.  Hand washing is best for these platters. Dimensions of this board:
